Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel is an internationally recognised Behaviour & Training Consultant based in London, UK. Over the past 20 years, he has worked across diverse settings, consulting with pet “owners” in private and group settings, high-profile clients, and training professionals in leading organisations such as Guide Dogs for the Blind UK, various animal shelters, zoos, aquariums, and research laboratories. Chirag is passionate about the practical application of behaviour analysis to empower animals living under human care their human caregivers.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln. Chirag is also a Certified Parrot Behaviour Consultant (IAABC), an Accredited Animal Behaviourist (ABTC), and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK.

Chirag shares practical behaviour and training tips on his popular social media and YouTube channels (@ChiragPatelConsulting) and has appeared on TV shows such as BBC One’s Nightmare Pets SOS, 5Star’s Cats and Dogs at War, and ITV’s The Pet Show.

He is incredibly grateful to have previously spoken at APDT Australia and is thrilled to return to speak and learn in such a wonderful environment.
